No Shortcuts

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

There are no shortcuts between this life and Heaven. According to the only begotten Son of God the only way to see the Kingdom of God or enter into it is to be born again. He said Ye must be born again! The only way to be born again is to receive Him into your heart and life. Becoming born again and becoming a child of God are the same thing.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Because of who Jesus is, receiving Him is a surrender to His power and authority. He is God The Son and the Son of God. Receiving Him is surrendering to His preeminence and it is becoming willing to serve Him and beginning to serve Him. Receiving Him is receiving Him as He is and deserves to be, the most important person or thing in your life.

Colossians 1:18: And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Thessalonians 1:6: And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: 7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. 9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

Receiving Him is not just beginning to serve Him, it is also beginning to think what He wants us to think.

2 Corinthians 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Our flesh continually looks for loopholes and shortcuts. There are no effectual shortcuts, no shortcuts that will succeed. If you have received Jesus, be thankful, pray for the lost, support financially and in prayer others who share the gospel and if at all possible, learn to share the gospel yourself.
